Michelle Obama's Personal Experience with Childhood Obesity
Friday, February 5, 2010 at 10:00AM
Michelle Obama has a variety of projects she's been working on since becoming First Lady, many having to do with working with children. And everyone knows about her organic vegetable garden in the White House. In this video her interests combine and she speaks about her personal experience fighting childhood obesity in her family. But do you think her advise is enough?
Basically put, her theme was baby steps. And I do agree that with a large amount of people, baby steps are the way to success. We are creatures of habit, not creatures who yearn for change. And those subtle adjustments are what work for many of us. After all, this is why I keep a Tweak of the Week up in HeVe's sidebar. Are Michelle Obama's steps toward healthy eating for her children something that would work for your family? And are they actually significant healthy steps? What do you think?

February is Heart-Healthy month at Hello Veggie. Do you want to know more about how to keep your whole family heart-healthy? Tomorrow HeVe will have an guest article written by a mother who feeds her whole family a whole foods based diet. If you want to know how she does it, what kind of meals she prepares, and how she taught her kids to love fruits, veggies, and grains, then check HeVe tomorrow. It's a great family-style post that you won't want to miss.

Thanks for the suggestion! I saw Vega advertised in Vegetarian Times and it looked too good to be true! I will definitely check it out.
You're welcome, Jared. Let me know what you think if you try it.
