How to Chop and Onion and Stuff

Real Simple has a lot of fun stuff on their site. Gardening, organizing your life, relieving stress, finding fun clothes and cute jewelry. They even feature lots of food, recipes, and have a health section. Wether or not their recipes are healthy is debatable I'm sure, but I enjoy skimming through their site. My friend Ashley forwards me tons of their veggie-focused recipes and we like to gab about it we think it's tasty and if we'll get together to cook it.

3 Ways T.V. Sucked the Health out of Me

No, I'm not going to tell you about how the T.V. rays will burn holes in your retinas, corneas, or your iris'.  I cut open a cow eyeball open when I took Anatomy and Physiology in college and I haven't been interested in eye balls since. And yeah yeah, I care about healthy sight and all things healthy... but I'm still not going there. This isn't a post about your eye balls.  The reason you'll want to read about these 3 Ways T.V. sucked the Health out of Me is because it's likely that you've either done the same things or that you're currently doing them.  But you tell me which one it is, if any, in the comment section below. Deal? Deal.

Ancient Body, Modern Mind

Last weekend I went to a workshop at Whole Foods Market. It was lead but Laura Button, owner of Journey to Bliss, a raw vegan prepared foods business. D and I ened up listening to her workshop for about 2 hours and then stayed and talked with her on our own for about half hour or so. She is an amazing person and I feel blessed to have absorbed some of her healthful energy. Laura talked about a variety of issues and theories in her workshop, and many things stuck out to me. One in particular is this. She said we are living in ancient bodies but with a modern mind.

Manly Men Getting Healthy

I haven't been this excited about a post in a while. If you're turned off by the big photo of another diet book, don't be fooled and read my lips. Continue reading, you want to check this out.

Many people have this stereotype in their mind. They think manly men are rough, tough, guzzling beer, eating rare steaks for breakfast and fearless.

How To Eat on a Budget

You know you've used it as an excuse. We all have at one time or another. You can't always afford to eat healthy.  Produce is expensive, the Dollar Menu is cheaper. Chips are cheaper, soda is cheaper, candy is cheaper. Yes, it's true. The government pays to keep unhealthy food cheap, they encourage us to be unhealthy. But if you take a moment to really think about what it takes to buy and prepare healthy, plant-based meals, you may be surprised by how affordable they truly are.
